Cross Trained Housed Substitute (Request More Information About this Position and How to Apply)

Job Summary:

Implements the agency's Head Start Early Childhood and Family Development program for a maximum of twenty children in a half-day program in a substitute capacity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational/Experience Requirements: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED AND a strong desire to learn appropriate child development techniques. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills in problem solving, time management, organization, processing paperwork efficiently, and collecting and interpreting data. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and have good interpersonal skills and flexibility. Experience in providing training for adults; supervisory experience; Excellent attendance. Computer skills.

Salary:

$8.03/hour – first 384 classroom hours. $8.65/hour thereafter. Working hours per week depend on center needs – 20-hours/week minimum 44 working weeks per year.
