Job Title : Children's Services Specialist

Job Summary: For a group of assigned centers, assures that a comprehensive early childhood/family-based program is delivered and quality is maintained for all children, including those with disabilities. Observes, trains, supervises, and evaluates assigned teaching staff. Assists in identifying children with disabilities and serves as a liaison to the public school system. Advocates for all children and families within the program. Coordinates activities with other departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education/Experience Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in ECE or a closely related field AND 2 year working experience in a preschool classroom/ECE setting AND 1 year supervisory experience of early childhood classroom staff.

2. Must be able to communicate effectively (reading, writing, and oral communication) in English.

3. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, may include more than an eight-hour day in some situations.

4. Transportation Requirements:

A. Possess a valid Arizona driver license and excellent driving record. Attach to application a copy of current, valid Arizona license and three-year driving record obtained from Motor Vehicle Division.

B. Must be able to travel extensively to and from various sites within their own assigned area daily in private vehicle. Must provide a copy of state-required proof of insurance issued by insurance companies every six months. Attach current proof to application.

  • Must be able to travel outside their assigned area in company-owned vehicle. This travel could begin before daylight hours and continue after sundown in some situations.
  • Federal, State, County Legal/Licensing Requirements:
  • Possess a valid health card from appropriate County Health Department.
  • Provide proof of immunizations for childhood diseases (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Diphtheria, and Tetanus, commonly known as MMR/DT) and must provide a clear Tuberculosis test or chest X-ray.
  • Able to pass a company paid physical exam.
  • Able to pass a FBI fingerprint and criminal record check.
  • Must be able to prove the right to work in the USA by providing appropriate documents to complete the Federal I-9 form.

Salary: Grade 38- $1,052.80 bi-weekly (with a non-qualifying AA or BA)
Grade 40- $1,106.40 bi-weekly (with AA degree in Early Childhood Education)
Grade 43- $1,191.20 bi-weekly (with BA degree in Early Childhood Education )
