Job Summary: Under general supervision and direction of the Program Services Information Manager performs data entry, records filing, and administrative tasks as required for child and family records workflow within the department. Work requires accuracy, attention to detail, good judgment, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Provide proof of immunizations for childhood diseases (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis, commonly known as MMR/Tdap) and must provide a clear Tuberculosis test or chest X-ray.
  • Able to pass a company paid physical exam.
  • Able to pass a FBI fingerprint and criminal record check.
  • Must be able to prove the right to work in the USA by providing appropriate documents to complete the Federal I-9 form.
  • Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and excellent driving record. Attach to application a three year driving record obtained from the motor vehicle division.
  • Must provide a copy of the state-required proof of auto insurance issued by insurance company every six months.
  • Submit a current Fingerprint Clearance Card OR be subject to undergo a federal and state criminal background check AND
    complete the necessary paperwork for a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A certificate of completion or AA degree in an accredited course in data entry. A copy of the certificate or transcripts must be attached to the employment application.
  • Two years of data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Experience in ChildPlus.
  • Knowledge of Head Start or social service programs.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Spanish.

Frequently:

  • Driving to and from work
  • Walking from vehicle to office
  • Up and down from work station
  • Stooping, bending, reaching
  • Long periods of data entry (sitting, entry, viewing computer screen)
  • Clerical duties (computer, faxing, typing, copying, etc.)
  • Standing for approx. ½ hour 2-3 times per day
  • Using telephone regularly throughout the day

     Occasionally:

  • Picking up and dropping off supplies
  • Lifting moving records boxes for storage
  • Lift up to 20 lbs

Salary: $10.28 per hour, 40 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year
