Education/Experience Requirements:

1. Must possess a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years documented work experience in Early Childhood Education, Family/Social Services, Adult Education or related fields.

• Must be proficient in reading, writing, and oral communication in English/Spanish and Business Math.

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

• Transportation Requirement:

• Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and excellent driving record. Attach to application a copy of current valid Arizona license and three-year driving record obtained from MVD.

B. Must be able to travel to and from various home visits and program related activities on a daily basis. A company (CPC, Inc.) vehicle is provided for the Home Educator to use in completing home visits. If Center conditions require and the Home Educator lives within the company allowable range the vehicle can be taken to the employee's home for over night garaging purposes.

C. Must provide a copy of state required proof of auto insurance issued by insurance companies every six months. Attach current proof to application.

6. Federal, State, County Legal/Licensing Requirements:

• Possess a valid health card from appropriate County Health Department.
• Provide proof of immunizations for childhood diseases (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Diphtheria, and Tetanus, commonly known as MMR/DT) and must provide a clear Tuberculosis test or chest X-ray.
• Able to pass a company paid physical exam.
• Able to pass a FBI fingerprint and criminal record check.
• Must be able to prove the right to work in the USA by providing appropriate documents to complete the Federal I-9 form.

7. Special Requirements for Classroom/Home Base and Driver Positions:

A. Must possess or have the ability to possess and keep current certification in First Aid Training.

B. Must possess or have the ability to possess and keep current certification in CPR training including Infants and Children.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.Current CDA certification awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition with home-based endorsement.**

2. Work or volunteer experience in instructing and enhancing growth in adults.

3. Work or volunteer experience with groups or individuals from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic groups.

**PLEASE NOTE:

Any applicant hired without a CDA certification awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition or an AA or higher degree in ECE will be required to complete CDA accreditation within two years of hire. Failure to complete will be considered a voluntary quit.
